Available to Promise (ATP)

Microtech Supply Chain Available to Promise (ATP) enables you to view detailed availability information from Microtech Inventory or Microtech Order Entry for an order line, ship set, or configuration so that you can decide which supply source you want to use to meet the demand.

ATP functionality basically supports in deriving the customer order promising dates considering the current on-hand stocks, other sales orders in queue, previously promised orders, allocated quantities, and future expected demand and supply.

So in effect it is a business function that provides a response to customer order enquiries, based on resource availability. Due to dynamics of sales orders, varying stock levels, and dynamics or production/procurement there always exists a gap between what has been promised and what can be physically fulfilled.

Yet there is little or no margin for error in the present business environment characterized by the zero inventory, Just-in-time delivery and fluctuating demands. The way forward is to improve quality of the decision-making at the order fulfillment stage.

Under tremendous time pressure, the operational managers tend to make decisions based on their experience and intuitions. It is imperative to improve quality of the decision making process.

Microtech Cloud Supply Chain Available to Promise (ATP) provides operation with solid accurate information that supports their response to customers and enables them to fulfill in time.
